Situated on the the Shetland island of Yell, Mid Yell Junior High caters for all school age children on the island. The school site is next to a leisure centre and the children participate in football and netball competitions with other schools. Its ethos is 'very good with a relaxed atmosphere and good relationships' and the school enjoys 'very strong' links with the local community.
